Unfortunately, we were unable to leave the hospital today. Over the weekend, Liam’s fevers returned and his ANC count dropped back to zero. We are disappointed, but not overwhelmed. We’ve been told that this irregular pattern is “normal” for leukemia.

After a fever this morning, Liam really perked up. He had chemotherapy in the afternoon without any adverse side effects. We went on walks, played games, built lego cars, and did a little bit of school. He was in a very silly mood, which made me smile. It’s been several days since I’ve seen him this vibrant.

We are so thankful that he hasn’t had any nausea from the chemo during this first phase of treatment. Please pray that that continues as he enters Phase 2 of treatment next week.

Thank you for continually praying for our son and for his comfort and healing during this time.
