For some reason, our site has not been sending email notifications when we post a new update. Hopefully it worked this time! I'm going to repeat some things from out last post along with some new information.
We’re happy to inform you all that Monday, November 4 Liam was discharged from the hospital. The past week at home has been wonderful for him and we’re rejoicing to be together as a family again. Thank you for praying. Liam is loving his time at home is showing slow but steady improvement.
As Liam's care continues to be complicated our insurance approved us for in home nursing care. Once a nurse is found, we'll hopefully have a nurse helping us at night (so we can sleep) for 4-8 hours. We expect this to be a huge help to us. We're prasing God for the ways he provides.
As you continue to track with our family and Liam’s health, please pray in the following ways:
Pray for continued healing for Liam’s gut. While he is slowly able to get more food in (about 5oz of formula a day), he has a long way to go. Continued nutrition through his IV (TPN) is aggravating his liver. Doctors are keeping a close eye.
Pray for continued healing from Liam’s fungal infection. The yeast and his liver and spleen are still an active problem. Right now it is under control. Nevertheless, doctors say it still poses a threat for serious health complications. We're praying it doesn't move in this direction.
Pray that Liam would regain physical strength. He has a very hard time moving around and walking without assistance.
Pray that Liam would be home for an extended period of time. Heavy chemo does not start again until December. It would be ideal to be home until and even through that.
We are unbelievably thankful for the ways so many of you have supported us financially and through prayer and practical help.
We’ll continue to keep you posted here.
It was wonderful to see Liam!!! He truly is a super kid! So happy for you all and the prayers will continue for sure!!! Barb - the office.
I rejoice with you - and also wonder why we've not gotten the emails. Hasn't stopped pray but did postpone rejoicing with you
This news is a HUGE answer to prayer. Every little step in the right direction, I thank the Lord for His faithfulness. May He provide a loving, competent caregiver and give the two of you the rest you so desperately need. He knows—and He will. Showers of blessings on all of you as you spend this time of celebration together at home with each other, Liam, Lilly and Jack.
So glad to be getting email alerts again. Normally we just check y'all's page at some point each day. We'll continue to pray for Liam, strength, healing, and for absolute quality family time. Our God is so big, so strong, and so mighty!!
The post came through! Thank you for all the updates. For me it keeps your needs front and center in my mind. I get them and drop everything to talk to God.
